Summary: Jennys house is a small family run guest house, in the centre of the rural fishing village of Selimiye. Selimiye is 2hrs drive from Dalaman airport (transfers are included in the weekly price). The large seaside town of Marmaris is 40 mins dolmus. Jennys house has 7 ensuite rooms all with shower air-con, tea/coffee making facillities. Bed and Breakfast basis wilth option of half board if required.

There is much to do in Selimiye and the surrounding area, local boat trips to little bays,Olive Oil Farm, Ancient ruins, Mountain Walking or just taking it easy and relax by the pool or on the sea shore. The sea shore is a short 3 min walk away where you can swim in the sea or just sit by the shore in one of the many local restaurants and watch the world go by.

Overview: Jennys house has 7 ensuite rooms all with shower rooms, air-con, tea/coffee making facillities. Breakfast (the best breakfast in Selimiye!!) is served under the trees in jennys garden, by the edge of the swimming pool. This is the time when you can decide what to do with your day, be lazy and sit by the pool relaxing, enjoy a strol into the village for a simple lunch by the sea...Perhaps take one of the day boats for a trip round the many bays and inlets that are not accessable by car, swim in the cool clear waters, enjoy a fish bbq lunch, relax on the sunloungers and catch up with your reading!....Or take a dolmus into Marmaris and do some shopping..there is always plenty to do!

Jenny cooks a simple supper each night and house guests may join in if they wish to (small charge is added to your bill) or dine at one of the many good quality restaurants in the village...[more information]

Area Information: Selimiye is situated 45 kilometers ( 28 miles) from Marmaris via the Hisarönü road, and is one of the most beautiful coves of Hisarönü Bay. Selimiye village is a working village, locals make a small living from farming most have a house cow and few sheep and goats. Others fish, and supply the local restaurants. The population of the village is around 1100.

Selimeye is an important village in terms of landscape and ancient ruins. When almond-trees are in blossom, the view is truly a sight for sore eyes. The full moon that rises over the western side of the bay is the most stunning in the vicinity. The undulating road leading to Bozburun offers lovely panoramic views of the bay.

Tourists have been coming to Selimiye for the last 20 year and this has boosted the local ecconomy. Before the road into Selimiye was built (again only 20 yearsago), the only way to reach the village was by boat. The locals love spending time talking to anyone passing their house and will often ask you in for tea, dont worry that you cant speak turkish, its a real honor for them that you have come to their home!
